We are not equal, you and I.
You took away your own freedom.
You are locked away, confined;
You are my prisoner.
You are on a leash, unbroken
By your mad attempts to flee.
Guilt is the strongest chain,
And bound by it, you’ll not escape.
And I shall never release you:
Even as your mind rusts,
The chains of guilt harden,
Stronger than ever, restraining life.
I need not guard you: the chains will
Hold regardless of my presence
Or absence: more than my captive,
You are bound by your own foul deeds.
